After high school, she joined the Israel Defense Forces, after which she began singing professionally. Her first break came by recording music videos in a children's show in which she was a wicked witch. After being featured in a commercial for laundry, she was offered the role of lead in To Be a Star (English translation) which is an Israeli movie. Tal was also cast in two television roles during filming , and later became a guest star or lead for four seasons. After that she moved to New York City to record Party to Damascus and Wyclef Jean. Following that, she was a guest on several TV shows , including Supernatural as well as Veronica Mars. Both of these were regular roles. In the final episode of Monk, a comedy in the US that is quirky and funny in its own way, she played the title character's stepdaughter. In 2010, she took on the role of Kat, or Catherine-B320 in the video game Halo: Reach. However, Tal has not publically stated whether or not she's a fan the game.
