John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched many people by his lyrics. Many of these have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., born Henry John Deutschendorf from Roswell in New Mexico, fell in Love with Colorado. He moved to Aspen. Denver's songs for his home state have attracted many people to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame says it is true that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its first member in 2011. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado to the many people across the globe. On my trips I've had the pleasure of meeting people from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell them you're from Colorado The first thing they say are"Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's first Top 10 Hit as a Solo Artist following his time in small Folk Music Groups. The track was written in collaboration with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track in the spirit of Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear an early version of the song and realized it would become a top 10 hit. After performing the song at Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver made a recording a few days later.
